Mobile Wireless Network Infrastructure For Rapid Deployments

Hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and other disasters often have a prolonged and destructive impact on power and communication infrastructures, making communication among first responders, rescue teams, and to the outside world difficult if not impossible.

Within hours after a disaster has struck, the First Responder Network (FRN), a mobile, wireless network infrastructure, can be put in place and provide a high-speed data and communicaton network. The FRN consists of a minimum of two wireless stations and can be expanded to any number of wireless stations.

Upon deployment of the rugged, weather-resistant and solar-powered wireless stations, the stations automatically start to connect with each other and provide connectivity for any WiFi compatible device and TCP/IP-based services such as e-mailing, VoIP, information and file-sharing and text-messaging.

A basic wireless station features an access point with a high-gain antenna mounted to a tripod-supported antenna mast.

Each wireless station has it's own solar panel and battery power pack, making it completely independent from an external power supply.

FRN options include:

  • dual and triple transmitter access points

  • omni-directional and sector antennas

  • station remote monitoring

  • data encryption and access control
